Richard Bourassa is a graduate of
the University of Calgary, receiving his B.A. in 1968
and his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1969. Mr.
Bourassa was admitted to the Bar in 1970. He was
a partner with the firm Park Sullivan Wenngatz
Bourassa & Owens. Subsequent to the appointments
of W. Patrick Sullivan, J. (1996) and A.G. Park, Q.C.,
J. (1999) as Justices of the Court of Queen's Bench of
Alberta, Mr. Bourassa joined the firm of Duncan and
Craig LLP. Mr. Bourassa joined the firm of Caron
& Partners LLP in September of 2002. |

Mr. Bourassa's areas of practice
include Corporate and Commercial Law, Family Law, Real
Estate, Wills a& Estates, Dependant Adult and
Litigation. Mr. Bourassa has sat as a Chairman
of the Canada Pension Appeal Tribunals and he sits as
a referee and adjudicator under the Canada Labour
Code. Mr. Bourassa is the Regional Chair in
Calgary for the Liberal Party of Canada. |
