Jarold Switzer completed
three years towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary.
He then entered Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in
1978. He completed his
Articles of Clerkship with Miles H.Patterson, Q.C. and was called to the bar in 1979. He
joined the Prodanchuk Dickson law firm as an associate in 1979 and continued as a partner
until 1992 at which time he joined Major Caron (now Caron & Partners LLP). |

Switzer is a Partner at Caron & Partners LLP.
His practice emphasizes Real Estate, Corporate,
Commercial, and Estate Planning and Estate
Administration law. He has had considerable
involvement in the incorporation,
extra-provincial registration and reorganization of
corporations (federal and provincial), purchase and
sale of businesses (assets and shares), joint
ventures, partnerships, landlord/tenant matters, and
estate planning and administration. He has extensive
experience in all types of real estate transactions,
including real estate projects and
project/construction mortgage financing. |

His commercial
law practice includes intellectual property matters in Canada and
the US. His civil litigation experience includes Real Estate,
Foreclosures, Landlord and Tenant,
Personal Injury and Family Litigation. His clients also include small businesses,
developers, home builders, landlords, tenants and lenders.

Mr. Switzer
is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Calgary Bar Associations. He was
Chairperson of the Canadian Bar Association Law Office Economics and Management Section
and he has been an executive member of the Real Estate Section and Foreclosure Law
Sections of the Canadian Bar Association.
He is a regular instructor in the Alberta Bar Admission Course, Legal Education
Society of Alberta seminars, and has spoken to many groups on various areas of law. |
